General aviation is the largest segment of aviation worldwide. It flies more hours, has more airplanes, more pilots and serves more locations than do the scheduled airlines. Together, general aviation and the scheduled airlines form the transportation system that serves the world. While the airlines primarily serve the main cities and population centers, general aviation is the connecting link to all the other communities of the world.

General aviation continues to grow and to serve the public interest. It is here to stay and will continue to grow and offer increased utility affecting almost every facet of our everyday lives.

Effective general aviation representation will emphasize these facts and contribute to the continued growth of general aviation in all countries of the world.
